Hp Validity Fingerprint Sensor Driver Windows 8.1
Hello folks:) New to this space and not sure about the Ps & Qs, so I'll try to be as concise as possible. I've recently upgraded to 8.1 from Vistax64 and have been trying to sort out the various issues that come along with a fresh install on a 4+ year old laptop (HP HDX18). I thought I had everything for this particular issue nailed down, however it just doesn't work for logging in to the PC and I'm at a loss to explain why it won't work. At the log in screen if I swipe my finger along the sensor I get an audible response from the computer that it has or has not recognized my finger print, so I am pretty sure everything works (at least superficially). Yet I cannot get the option to enable login via sensor to appear in settings/accounts/sign-in options. I have looked into local group permissions (gpedit.msc) and have enabled both biometrics and some login permissions to no avail.
How to get Validity fingerprint sensor working on Windows 8 - updated I have been trying out Windows 8 RC on my laptop, it's an HP Elitebook 2540p. One of the features I've not been able to set up properly is the fingerprint login.
Here are some pictures to further illustrate. There is a possible lead there, but I don't think so. I do not particularly want to give this program any gawd-mode powers. Samsung Clp 315 Reset Firmware Xerox. My (limited) understanding is that windows 8.1 rides shotgun here and just needs to be able to see the device correctly to incorporate/cannibalize its function(s), thus eliminating the need for 3rd party ware.
Hi, What is the make and model of the PC? All versions of Windows 8.1 include end to end biometric capabilities that enable authenticating with your biometric identity anywhere in Windows (Windows sign-in, remote access, User Account Control, etc.). Windows 8.1 is optimized for fingerprint based biometrics and includes a common fingerprint enrollment experience that works with a variety of readers (touch, swipe). You might be facing the issue if it is outdated or incompatible finger print sensor driver installed on the computer.
To get the Fingerprint Sensor working properly you will need two things. The first will be the driver and the software. You might need to reinstall the Fingerprint Reader software. Refer to the thread: Windows 8.1 Fingerprint Sensor Driver not working You can also post your query in the HP support forum.
Let us know if it helps. If the issue persists, we will be happy to help. HP does not appear to be an avenue that I can utilize to much effect at this time.
So if there are those willing to humor me, I'd like to continue here and perhaps, at least, refine the question at hand, if for no other reason then clarity. Again, the system is an HDX18, more finely, HDX X18-1378CA BOM# NV122UA The sensor in question is either a VFS101 or a VFS201 with a hardware ID(s) of: USB VID_138A&PID_0001&REV_0372 USB VID_138A&PID_0001 It appears as though I am able to get the driver installed and working, but can not get windows to completely play ball with the device. Software Printer Epson L110. I believe (perhaps incorrectly) that so long as the driver is working, 8.1 should be able to assume management of the hardware. In addition to my previous post; I've recently noticed some interesting behavior on this machine. As such, does msmpeng.exe generate logs that can be viewed?
Seems with the installation of some of the aforementioned software causes msmpeng.exe to go crazy when the system is at idle. I am not 100% sure if defender has an issue with HP's security software and could be just my colored vision, so I'd like system reports of what the beef is, if there are any to be had that is.
Simplepass does not see the device, neither does control panel. Still device manager see's the device. I am able to get a 'swipe' thingy at the logon screen if I choose to log on as a different user.I can hear it working, the screen does a little flash when I swipe my finger on the sensor. Even had DigitalPersona jump up in front of the login to setup some additional fingerprints.but I cannot log on with it! #$% I must be missing a permission somewhere but I can't find it. I managed to get this far by giving 2 of the. Crack Delphi For Php 2 more. exe associated with digitalPersona Godmode in their properties.
